Numark DJ2GO Traktor Mapping TSI

A while back i wrote a review for the Numark DJ2GO and originally i put up some midi mapping TSI files.  I eventually took them down in favor of Numark’s TSI, however i eventually found out that it only works for Traktor 2.  So i remade the original TSI files for people who still use Traktor 1, you can download them below.

These TSI files have support for output feedback to the controller LED’s.  Most “toggle” type buttons will stay lit when activated, and the play button flashes using the beat phase monitor when a track is actively playing or being cued.

Titanium Lounge – Middletown, CT

It’s time once again to call out the good, the bad & the ugly.

Titanium Lounge opened this year in late May to the revels of most of the residents of the City of Middletown. The owner, Gaetano Bramato, is in family lines with the owner of Esca Wine Bar which sits just across the street from Titanium. During the Planing & Zoning Commission meeting Gaetano told the city the space would be used as a “dual purpose lounge/coffee bar area with bar & dance floor upstairs”.

Now, I’m not an expert on bullshit, but I know it when I see it. I dj’d at Titanium on a number of occasions for Gaetano, and I’ve seen flirting with a bar menu, so there is some grease that occasionally gets served, but I’ve never seen coffee passed over that bar. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a coffee maker in the place, and the flyer below definitely answers any doubt.

I left Titanium in early July due to Gaetano’s refusal to pay a contract we agreed to, and I eventually had to take him to small claims court to recover my fees.  By the time I left in July the word on the street was that Titanium was another player in the already unsteady “nightclub” market in Middletown.  With Public Bar & Grill closing due to a New Year’s Melee, it was only a matter of time before Gaetano would be unable to control his crowd.

I learned of the New Years Eve brawl, in which 250 people had to be disbursed by 5 different Police Departments, from an angry Middletown resident who posted on twitter…

Putting a stain on the first year of Middnight on Main does not sit well with city officials or taxpayers.  A 19 year old man was arrested out of the fracas, who eventually gave police a false identity and tried to escape custody when he was underage to be in the club in the first place.  As a taxpayer and resident of Middletown, i’m sure the organizers of the event, RHC, are bringing the wrong crowd to Middletown.  From some of the posts on their facebook wall it seems as if RHC is a front for gang activity.  The picture below could be straight out of the last Onyx video, just replace the cards with semi-automatic weapons.

Acting Police Chief, William McKenna, said that officers had to be dispatched until 4:30am on New Year’s Morning to quell the disturbance.  He also went on to say this isn’t the first time Titanium has been on the radar.  Prior incidents include numerous patrons arrested for DUI after leaving the club, and an incident where a patron tried to break the windows at the front of the building.

The bottom line is that along with being too cheap to pay their dj’s or bartenders on time, bar owners are having a hard time ponying up for increased security and recognizing when it’s needed.  If you can’t afford to run your establishment safely and properly, close it down, or better yet have the liquor commission do it for you.
